In the days of my youth, a whopping fourteen years ago, I was part of a two man improv team called "Give It Up!."
We would be invited to youth gatherings and conferences where we would select some courageous volunteer victims. These willing guinea pigs would receive a crash course in improvisational comedy and then perform a pair of 90 minute shows which were similar in style to the Drew Carey hosted Who's Line Is It Anyway?
For me, "Give It Up!" proved to be a combination of pure joy and thick laughter mingled with a double shot of adrenaline. I can feel my heart pound as I recall the memories.
Almost a year ago I tossed some improvisational comedy into my newsletter. I shouted an idea to myself! "Eric, today you're going to write about cheese." I then accepted the challenge to write a blog that likened retail packaging to the fine cheeses of the world. (By the way you might find a review of this blog helpful if you order any custom made or imported goods).
It's time for "Give It Up!" to take over this monthly message and I need your help.
Please email me with one word, subject or idea (please keep it clean this is a family program). I will make a list of every response. Each month I will randomly select one of the entries and then do my absolute darndest to write a blog connecting the randomly chosen subject to the realm of retail packaging
I look forward to laughing together.
