Please read this message in your best British accent:
Now that my sweet little Piper is going on 6 months of age I need to prepare myself to face a dreadful reality:
It won't be very long before she will want to play...gulp...Princess. Someday I may just have to suck it up and let my little girl dine at Disney in Cinderella's castle and I've discovered that it's already time to start planning.
Did you know that in order to get a table with the princesses you must make reservations at least 6-12 months in advance?
Over the years, many of my clients are helped by making "reservations" for their branded packaging.
Here is a common challenge expressed by my customers:
"I know I will need to re-order my printed packaging but I don't want to order to soon and have to pay for them before I need them. I also don't want to put off ordering them because that could mean ordering too late or even forgetting to order."
Like a well trained maitre d' with an enthralling British accent, I recommend making a reservation.
One client makes a "reservation" each and every May requesting delivery in late October or early November. Another client makes a reservation around October of each year and requests delivery in April of the following year.
Ordering in this manner quickly addresses many issues:
The order is placed. It can be crossed off the to do list and forgotten.
The delivery date is set for when the product is needed
While the order is placed early, payments are generally not made until the product is already in use
Ordering well in advance minimizes the impact of any unforeseen challenges
This is a perfectly good time to bring up the annual foreseen challenge of an Asian wide celebration of "The Chinese New Year." Each year factories shut down for three full weeks. Many popular packaging items are not produced in the United States and these shut downs, as you would imagine, cause significant delays. If you need to make a packaging reservation for imported items please keep the following information in mind:
Shipments that leave Asia before factory closings will arrive in the United States around the end of February. "Reservations" would be needed on/around November 10-15 in order to ship before the factory closings.
Shipments that leave Asia after the factories re-open will arrive on/around the first week of April. "Reservations" would be needed on/around January 20-25 in order to be included on the first shipments after the factories re-open.
Please do let us know if you'd like to consider making a packaging reservation of any sort. It would be our goal to structure a reservation that ideally suits your unique needs.
