Specialty blog

Please forgive me for using a bad word

***Disclaimer:  Dear Mom and Dad, in this month's blog you will see me reference a naughty word that is neither appropriate for a message of this nature nor, I assure you,  a part of my vernacular.  Please know that is done reluctantly for creative affect.  I am sorry if this blog reflects poorly upon my upbringing.

dirty-diaper-picture150Since the phrase "gives a $hi#" has somehow come to mean "truly cares about" then it is safe to say that my soon to be two year old daughter Piper, multiple times daily and often in pebble form, has significant concern about a number of matters.

Since my friend Sharon from Amanti Vino challenged me to connect the world of retail packaging to dirty diapers, I thought I'd take a moment to let you know the matters about which Specialty Box & Packaging "gives a $hit#"

In no particular order, here are Specialty Box & Packaging's Dirty Diapers:

diaper-bulletBe personal in an age of automation; go crazy and return an email with a phone call

diaper-bulletThe most important person in the world is the one sitting across from you (or on the phone with you, or the one you are emailing that moment)

diaper-bulletWhen something goes wrong, work to make it right; even if it's not your fault

diaper-bulletThere are no small customers

diaper-bulletCustomers and suppliers, as much as it is possible, are to become friends and partners

diaper-bulletFire customers and suppliers that are jerks

diaper-bulletMake work fun

diaper-bulletWork to live; work to love; if we do the opposite we'll carry regret to the grave

diaper-bulletWhen blessed with profitability use resources to do good that will never benefit us

diaper-bulletWhen not blessed with profitability use resources to do good in the world that will never benefit us

diaper-bulletSay thank you and mean it

This list of dirty diapers is far from complete and I'd be honored it if you shared even one of the things about which you and your business "give a $hi#."  If enough replies are received I'd be thrilled to use next month's blog to share the responses.
